La Grande Barrière de Corail sera l’un de vos plus beaux souvenirs de votre séjour en Australie ! Dans cet immense organisme vivant, vous pourrez découvrir une bio-diversité incroyable avec plus de 400 espèces de coraux, 1 500 espèces de poissons et 4 000 espèces de mollusques ! C’est aussi l’habitat d’espèces menacées d’extinction, comme le dugong et la grande tortue verte. Soyez prêts pour ce spectacle d’une variété et d’une beauté extraordinaire et d’un haut intérêt scientifique. 

 

Pour découvrir la Grande Barrière, embarquez avec Silverswift depuis Cairns. Ce Catamaran, pouvant accueillir jusqu’à 85 personnes, est moderne et rapide et offre toutes les commodités nécessaires (toilettes, douches chaudes, vestiaires, bar, espace couvert intérieur). 

 

Silverswift se rend sur la partie la plus éloignée des côtes « Outer Reef ». Vous pourrez plonger sur 3 différents sites au coeur de Flynn, Pellowe, Milln et/ou Thetford Reefs. Les lieux de plongée varient selon les conditions climatiques du jour. Cependant, chaque site est choisi par rapport à sa beauté, et sa biodiversité pour vous offrir un spectacle coloré et inoubliable.  

 

Avec ces trois arrêts au programme, vous passerez environ 5h au total sur la Grande Barrière. Vous pourrez faire plusieurs sorties en masque / tuba (guidées ou libres) selon vos désirs. 

 

Grâce à la plate-forme submergée du Silverswift, l’accès à l’eau est facilitée et rapide. Vous pourrez également effectuer plusieurs plongées en bouteille si vous le souhaitez (en option – baptême ou plongeurs certifiés). 

 

Le déjeuner et des snacks durant la journée sont inclus.

Friendly staff. Good diving. Boat was not over... packed. Good food. Our dive master Jan was very friendly, professional and calm. Wasn’t impressed by the first dive site and would have been disappointed if that was the only dive we did (some only did one dive).plus

I came to Cairns to scuba dive on the reef and... this is definitely the company to go with. As a first time diver I purposely choose this one as I had read others make you lock arms the entire time and don’t let you swim on your own and that there can be more than 100 people. They’re a bit more expensive than some of the other companies but I was very happy that there was probably around 60 people and maybe ten minutes into the first dive we were allowed to swim on our own and five minutes into the second dive we were free. Our dive instructor was incredible. Very patient and I felt really comfortable in the water with him as a guide. As an introductory diver you can only do two scuba dives but you can snorkel at all three sites. The staff tells you which sites you’ll get to dive at. I was site one and three. There were openings for site two but I passed. Mostly you’re going to see tropical fish. They’re everywhere and it’s really great! At site two is where the sea turtles are and there’s a 50/50 chance of seeing them. I should’ve went at site two because they were there this time! The breakfast they serve is your normal variety of muffins, cakes and bread with tea and coffee. The lunch is a hot/cold buffet consisting of foods such as rice, shrimp, green salad, potato salad, pasta salad and fresh fruits. After all three dives they had cakes with tea and coffee. Nothing to write home about but you’ll be hungry enough after all the swimming you won’t care what you’re eating. They have an onboard photographer who took some nice photos that I chose to purchase. I’m not going to specify prices as they might change by the time whomever is reading this goes but I would say visit one of the shops around to rent an underwater camera and take your own photos as it’ll be much cheaper. Just you know...make sure it’s attached to you so you don’t drop it... There’s a shop right next to the fleet terminal that has decent prices. In conclusion I am incredibly happy with my decision to choose Silverswift as my first scuba dive experience and I had a really great day!plus

A wonderful experience that we will remember a... lifetime.We went to the great barrier reef to make dives. The service was perfect, they gave us a sheet to fill in all our data and see if we had any problems before diving, then they gave us an introductory briefing to remember important signs and warn us about dangerous fish and how to act before them. They left us the equipment mounted for nothing more than going down to the dive and ready. A great detail on your part because it saves a lot of time.All were very nice and professional. We had hired only one dive but we enjoyed it so much that we took one more and the truth was that it was incredible.Our guide was a Japanese named Kenji, majestic, super friendly and very very professional who made us enjoy the immersion in an incredible way he relaxed us, indicated all the fish that we had to see and pointed us all the species we saw on a blackboard I was carrying with him.In short, an unforgettable experience and a ten in everything.plus

Perfect. My wife and I got 3 nice dives in 3... different locations on the reef. It was absolutely no problem mixing the divers and snorkeling folks. The boat was very clean, comfortable and fast.plus

We joined these guys for our tour of the Great... Barrier Reef. One of us dove, the other snorkelled. The crew were amazing; so attentive and engaging, superior to another company whom we did a day tour with in the Whitsundays! The food/drinks were great and plenty for the full day we were out at sea. The guys at Silverswift thought of everything, even offering tablets for those people who may have been suffering from sea sickness and provided a lookout for anyone in the water who may have been struggling whilst we swam. They really put the safety and comfort of the passengers first. The boat was spacious and not overcrowded either.I snorkelled and Alex was our guide. She was fantatsic, I found the talk on the types of coral/sea life really added to my experience and really enjoyed the guided snorkel tour at our last spot. We had an unforgettable day and would definitely recommend Silverswift!plus
